|State Rep. Steve Smyk was among a group of lawmakers that visited the Delaware Burn Camp recently (8/14) to see how volunteers are helping young burn victims to recover from their harrowing ordeals. Established seven years ago, the annual week-long camp is held at Camp Barnes -- a facility owned by the Delaware State Police on Millers Creek near Assawoman Bay. The Delaware Burn Camp is free to eligible campers. Staffed by volunteers, and largely operated with donated food and services, the camp receives no state money.
